Showmasters have announced their first Supernatural convention Roadhouse. I nearly lost my mind last night when I saw the date because it's our busiest time of year at work and there's a total holiday ban. So, after a night of feeling sick and of little sleep and a morning of chain-smoking, I checked at work just on the off chance and maybe they saw the look of desperation in my pale face because I have been approved to take the Saturday off. I have to leave for Birmingham straight from work on the Friday and travel back on the Sunday night, but I don't really care because I'M FRICKING GOING AND I'VE GOT A GOLD TICKET!! HURRAH!!

Sooooo, who else is going?

I love Dick as Batman, but I really do miss Nightwing. Hence, I could not help reading a few old issues today between wrapping Christmas presents. Here he is doing his thing as part of the Joker: Last Laugh storyline (which I admit I haven't read, but do I want to because I've not heard good things so far? Although I am intrigued by the apparent ending.). Regardless, the following scans made me chuckle.

I am so hard for the Secret Six right now. Ragdoll is my favourite. There's just something about his fucked-up woobie face, impossibly tangled limbs, and politely psychotic personality. I've heard very recently that there may be plans to cancel the title and this perturbs me greatly. Say it is not so.

Sorry I'm a bit late, but hope you had a truly wonderful day.

Today I tried on my Robin costume and, good lord, it be snug. I'm glad because if it was any looser it would look weird, but I seriously cannot afford to gain even one pound this Christmas. I need to make adjustments to the mask, must buy little shorts to protect my modestly, I require tights, and my boots need a re-think -- I'm thinking I might get some DM style Damian boots.

Also, kitty_poker1, sweet_exile, mirasol and darkhavens, you are all in charge of making sure I don't get tangled up in my extraordinarily long cape and trip tit-over-utility-belt down the stairs.

Without a doubt, this is my top fic from the hd_career_fair. I have a real soft spot for kid!fic and this has to be one of the best in the fandom. It melted me into a Suki-puddle. Heart-warming, cute with a Harry and a Draco who both inspire me.

Oh, my LORD, I just did the craziest thing. I just bought my friend R a ticket to see Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds at the O2 next December. Of course I had to buy a ticket for myself too because it would be unkind to make her go on her own and also I've loved WotW since I was a little girl. I used to listen to it repeatedly wearing my Grandad's humongous headphones and every time that martian cylinder unscrewed I would shake with fear. Didn't stop me listening to it, though!

Anyway, that's one more Christmas present sorted out. Is it cruel to give someone a gift they won't be able to use for an entire year? Just thought of that, lol.

OMG, Jason Donovan and Justin Hayward will be performing and Jeff Wayne himself will be conducting. I'm so excited! And so fricking broke. I've got one hell of a bill to pay next month, eeep!

How am I going to keep this a secret from R until Christmas?! MY MOUTH IS TOO LARGE FOR THIS!

Does anyone want a ticket to see Alice Cooper at the Hammersmith Apollo on Sunday 6th December? I have a ticket going spare. It was my ticket, but after several weeks of thought I've decided I can't handle the crowds. It's a standing only ticket and my friends want to queue all day and get squished down the front. It's not for me. So, any takers? No charge, I'd just rather someone got some use from the ticket rather than me throwing it in the bin.

Anyone? Or do you know anyone? Seriously, comment and it's yours.

Edward Woodward died today, aged 79

Very sad. I used to love him in the Equalizer, and The Wicker Man fightened the shite out of me. He was a fabulous actor and will be missed by many.
